I invited 1 or 2 English speaking Shadowrunners here in this Forum

ah thats the matter.
Yep. I'm your friendly neighborhood runner from TriCity/Marienburg. And don't mind the nickname, that's in Polish, not German(hence the explanation in brackets).
I'd really like to know what's going on in the German SR world, since i see you're the second biggest fanbase after US. And the biggest when it comes to Earthdawn(my other favourite system) probably.
So, hello Kitty! (I'm sorry, I could not help.) It's just awesome that this board even gets international.
So, if you have any questions or something, just tell us.
I'm a Big Fan of Earthdawn too.
But I have never been a real Fan of the Connection between ED and SR....
well recently (in the last 6 Month) I changed my Mind a bit and I don't mind it that much anymore

What made you change your mind?
Personally, I never had much contact with Earthdawn in general and its connection to SR in particular.
Hmm, I just found out that posting in foreign languages violates neither the forum rules nor the Netiquette. Interesting.
why should it? at least, if the foreign language is english and nothling like suaheli or something similar ...
i guess, the vast majority of the members of this forum have a quite good knowledge skill "english". though i have to admit, that reading is far more easier than writing (or talking, for that matter).
I didn't say it should, I just thought it was a given, that the forum's language is German. As it turns out there is no mention of it. So from a RAW point of view you could post in suaheli, as long as your posts are intelligible (in that language)
Heh. I was counting on a short description of SR Germany, from the German fans. I know there are controversies involving the Germany and Berlin sourcebooks, but not much besides that (And Raben-Aas's art from DA).
Kot : Hi and welcome to the forum.
The problem with a short description of SR in Germany is, that there´s a lot of stuff to tell.
Germany in the Shadows was a pompous Sourcebook featuring the ADL alone.
But you can have a gist: If there was a rule it was either bend or broken.
German shadows had the nasty habbit of selprocclaiming as the deepest, this was of course backed by special weapon designs etc.
so long

@Kot's question
The Berlin Sourcebook was very well received here in Germany. Raben Aas' drawings are Superb and the Limited Ed was selling like sliced Bread and sold out in a vew Weeks.
Next in Line is the Sourcebook for the Rhine-Ruhr-Megaplex but It'll take a while

The Flow of the Tide
Nothing Peculiar.I just realised that there is no Reason to abhor it.
Its not that I love the conjunction, but its one of many possible ones
And its the only official one...so just like Water,I go with the flow

Well, i noticed the art on Raben-Aas's DA, and immediately became interested 'how they did it'. I know your fanbase is a lot bigger, and RPG's are more popular, and supported. Poland just entered a gaming Renaissance, with Savage Worlds and Wolsung being published and having it's own real line. I always envied your gaming industry.
I know Savage Worlds, but waht is Wolsung?
Nice to see you here Kot. (I`m lurking the Gaming Den forums and saw you contribute there) Looking forward to some intresting discussions, hope you decide to stick around.
Welcome to the forum, Kyon(cat in japanese, now that we know foreign languages aren´t forbidden )!
I´d love to join this shadowrun chat in my favorite language.
I bet everyone(or most of us :P) post in such polite english to show off their english skills.
Well, I shall do so myself.
A question for that matter:
I bet I am not the only one who constantly switches between using english and german sr-terms?
"Which attribute do i have to use?" "Body." "What?" "Oh, sorry... it´s constitution in german."
I got the books... but i love those pdf´s.
"Kot" means "Cat" in Polish, Japanese and Russian. Hm. Interesting.
