    Also mir persönlich gefällt das, was ich bisher von der neuen Edition SR gelesen habe sehr sehr gut. Meine Hoffnung ist ja, dass aus SR endlich ein Rollenspiel wird. Bisher war es ja nur ein leidiges Spielsachen sammeln und kniffel spielen...
    Immerhin bin ich nun soweit (nach über 5 Jahren SR Pause) wieder einmal ein SR Buch zu lesen. Vor allem, da ich die neue Version der Matrix als viel interessanter ansehe, als die alte.
    Meine größte hoffnung jedoch wäre ein sinnvolles Regelsystem. Die alten SR Regeln sind nämlich elender Murks. Ein Rollenspielsystem soll keine reale simulation sein, sondern funktional.

    Die ganzen Großladungen aus Asien kommen eigentlich per Schiff - sonst würde das den Produktpreis nochmal erheblich anheben. Die Lieferung einer kleinen Menge per Airmail lohnt sich daher, da FanPro diese Exemplare selbst auf der GenCon verkauft, und daher den vollen Preis für sie erhält, statt nur einen kleinen Anteil, wie beim Verkauf über Großhändler.

    Erster Eindruck: cooles System, scheiß Bildqualität durch Kompression, ordentliche Bookmarks, Volltextsuche, keinerlei DRM... und auch keine Reflow-Tags, dazu ist es... langsam.


    Was negativ auffällt: Die Schwammingkeit mancher Regel ist uns erhalten geblieben.

    Irgendwie klingt die Vorstellung von kultivierter Beta-BioWare... gewöhnungsbedürftig.
    Aber, andererseits... die Unterschiede sind nurnoch im Namen, alles kostet Essenz.

    Naja, es ist eigentlich dann nur noch ein Flavor-Unterschied zwischen normaler und kultivierter Bioware ohne Bezug auf irgendwelche Essenzersparnisse oder Zusatzkosten. Das einzige was zählt ist Alpha, Beta oder Delta, oder? Immerhin ist es jetzt klar geregelt: keine Beta-Bioware am Spielanfang ... was heißt, ich kann alles mit einer Avaibility unter 13 in die Finger bekommen.

    Dafür gibt es aber ein Availability Rating ... und das grenzt sehr wohl die Startausrüstung ein.

    Hmmm... da BetaWare nun schlechter wurde (nurnoch 30% Bonus statt 40%), wird bei einigen Charakteren trotz teils reduzierten Kosten und halbierung des geringeren Werts wohl DeltaWare nötig werden... was bei BioWare wohl richtig teuer wird.
